Doctor Arveen Venzon
Arveen completed a Bachelor of Vision Science and Master of Clinical Optometry from the University of New South Wales in 2021. During his studies he was awarded the Mivision Prize for excellence in community eye care, an award that acknowledged his significant contribution to facilitating eye care in the community. He attended our practices in Gunnedah and Narrabri for his rural placement and was inspired by the role that optometrists play in the rural setting. He has since joined our team in Moree as a full-time optometrist.
Arveen is therapeutically endorsed, meaning he can prescribe ocular medications to treat infection, inflammation, allergy and glaucoma. He has a passion for all areas of rural optometry but in particular he is interested in ocular disease, children’s vision assessments and co-management of ocular disease with our ophthalmologists in the Moree and surrounding regions. He is working towards ensuring better accessibility of eye care to rural people and wants to contribute to decreasing preventable blindness. Outside of caring for his patients, he is an avid cook and enjoys physical activities.
We are lucky to have him providing both excellent eye care for our patients and delicious baked goods for our staff.
